Personal Lessons We Can Learn From To Be Successful In Business
When Walt Disney World Resort opened on October 1971, it was somewhat tragic that the founder Walter Disney wasn’t there to see it. He died of lung cancer in December 1966. What most people did not know, Walter Disney saw all of it even before the Resort was built. He had the vision of Walt Disney World Resort so vividly in his mind long before anyone of us could see it, and then he made it into a reality. His determination is unwavering, consider this, Walter Disney was turned down 302 times by banks before he got his financing for his projects. Sometimes, we wonder what the world would be like if Walter Disney decided to give up on his dream at the 100th rejection or the 200th rejection.

Colonel Sanders spent two years driving across the United States looking for restaurants to buy his chicken recipe. He was turned down 1009 times before he got the deal. And now of course we have Kentucky Fried Chicken around the world. I wonder what happens if Colonel Sanders gave up before those 1009th tries.

Ray Kroc, the founder of MacDonald’s restaurant, was a poor salesman up till 1954. He was 52 years old when he spotted the opportunity and started MacDonald. If Ray Kroc doesn’t give up even at the age of 52, why should anyone of us?

In every entrepreneur, there are hidden stories, each of different origin. Beneath most of them, there are tales of perseverance and never giving up despite the odds. Nobody can stop someone determined enough to be successful, except the person themselves. By giving up, we defeat ourselves. At MobTwo, we help companies and entrepreneurs smooth the path towards success and pave the way towards profitability.

Our unconventional business model is different from most companies. We encourage creativity and innovations with minimal bureaucracy within the organization. We encourage big dreams and big visions for our entrepreneurs.

We believe within a matter of time, a Singapore based company like MobTwo will defeat Internet conglomerates like Google, Yahoo, Facebook. If we look deep enough, we will find certain great advantages that these conglomerates lack. And to win, we compete based on these core advantages and strength.
